Twice the price, today only
Can you imagine what they'd say, if for one day only you doubled your prices?
Yesterday, it cost £50. Today it's £100. Your budget is £1000? Well, today the price is £2000.
Lead. Balloon.
The whispers might go something like:
That's daylight robbery...
They can sell it at a sensible rate every other day, don't see why today is any different.
The flaming cheek of it!
Do they think we'll fall for that gubbins? Nice try.
Watch out for that lot, they bump their prices up to make it look like they've knocked 'em down in the sale...
Hands up who's said at least one of these phrases when buying something for yourself? Especially a product, whether it be a new sofa or a bottle of shampoo. I'm pretty sure I've said all of them at one point or another.
A question, then. What does it say about the knowledge, skills, insight and experience you possess when you offer discounts, sales and knockdowns on a certain day of the year that is dedicated to the idol of consumer commodity spending?
You, who provides an intangible yet highly sought-after skill.
You, who spent years honing your craft.
You, who makes a measurable difference.
Think about it.
Your words matter,
Laura
